US Fish and Wildlife Holidays 2024

Be aware of days that US FIsh and Wildlife inspections office will be closed for the holiday season

Dear Valued IFS Client,

US Customs and Boarder Patrol has furnished the following 2024 Holiday notification:

"Good morning,

The USFWS Port of San Francisco office will be closed all day Tuesday, December 24th, and Wednesday, December 25th in observance of Christmas. We will resume normal operations on Thursday the 26th.

• Please submit 48 hour notices in advance of these closures and enter eDecs for shipments arriving December 25th by close of business on Tuesday, December 24th. 

Inspections that take place on holidays are subject to an overtime fee of $139 for a 2-hour minimum and $70 for each additional hour in addition to the regular inspection fees. Holiday overtime inspections are subject to inspector availability, please notify the office asap if you will require a holiday inspection. 

The USFWS Burlingame office is closed on all federal holidays. Please visit the following website for a list of all federal holidays and their dates:
